We thank you for your interest in making a donation to our Church. Our Church survives and thrives as a result of the participation and generousity of our membership and community. You can make a donation in a number of ways.

STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM

Stewardship is a Christian tradition which asks us to share our financial resources with the church as another opportunity to express our gratitude to God for all his blessings.

All the monies collected through the Stewardship Program are used to support the programs and activities of St. John Garabed. In 2004, almost 100 families and individuals gave generously according to their means. All of us extend our appreciation.

Our goal for 2005 is $30,000 – which accounts for about 20% of our Operating Budget. Please make a pledge today – pledges can be paid on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.

EASTER OFFERING - YUGHAKIN

Yughakin in Armenian means "price of oil" - "Yugh" meaning oil and "kin" meaning price. In the past donations were used toward the purchase of oil, which in return would keep the lanterns burning and ultimately the doors open of the church. Of course, today we do not have oil-burning lanterns in church; however, we do have gas, heat and electricity and other essential operating expenses.

At this season of Christ's crucifixion and triumphant resurrection let us remember and continue in the custom of Yughakin, so we can keep our "oil-burning lanterns" always burning and our doors always open at St. John Garabed.

St. John Garabed Armenian Church is enrolled in an innovative program that helps raise additional funds to support the mission and continued growth of the Church at NO COST to you.
